Resolved Question: Just saw a question asked about what colour dress to wear to a wedding REHEARSAL?!!?

I gotta say I am a bit taken aback! There were answers instructing the needy girl not to wear white to the wedding REHEARSAL! What the heck? Why? Was the bride going to be wearing her gown that day - of course not! And even some advice to avoid the theme colours of the wedding - again, what the heck? I'm sorry if this genuinely offends anyone but I really do think every this stuff is SO overdone! Just how PRECIOUS are some of these brides and bridesmaids? You even have to ask what colours you can wear to a wedding REHEARSAL now?? I suppose it's considered rude if you have a rehearsal and then because you don't want to take up people's time (it's a school night and the page boys/ushers/blossom girls are there too) you don't put on a dinner for them! It really is so silly, the most well-meaning of intentions can every be turned upside down over these silly rules! Surely the only rules that really count are having your priorities straight and treating everyone as well as you would want to be treated! Not this endless list of nonsense about the perfect seat covers, are silk flowers too cheap, is not having a stretch limo when my pal had one going to make me look like I'm not keeping up, does my bum look big in this ridiculously over-the-top dress but I just have to have it because I won't be able to trump my sister's choice if I don't! Blah, blah, blah! It really is such a reflection on how society is these days...at the very least, it amuses me or frustrates me, depending on the issue. At worst, it scares me...where are people's priorities anymore??!! It also makes me unneccessarily nervous to think of every the supposed faux pas I have made, (eg. said rehearsal without dinner) because I really didn't know or because something that wasn't done in my culture or wasn't important to us, was considered imperative in another! I didn't have a tiny wedding myself, it's just the attitude of taking everything to the extreme that I am unhappy with. The bride and groom should try to organise a special day with lots of meaning, (however big, tiny, extravagant or simple) it is their union in matrimony afterall but it's the entitlement mentality that really rubs and the lack of consideration for how it can put others out. It's not just weddings, we look this in so much these days. I absolutely agree an extravagant wedding can have plenty of meaning as well as every the frills, perhaps I didn't communicate my point too well. It's just when things receive out of perspective. It's also how judgemental some people have become and how you feel you have to learn a whole new language in order to make sure you don't offend even the tiniest of sensibilities!

Resolved Question: MY BRATTY LITTLE SISTERS BIRTHDAY?

My mum and dad think my annoying little 7 year old sister, Jamelia is a little princess, and its her birthday next month so they are obviously planning the bratt a birthday party. I heard her planning it. I dont know what to do about the bratt. I cant receive them to look what a bratt she is (My parents). Shes having a £300 birthday cake and a stretch pink limo with every her pathetic, irritating little bratty friends they are every going to this massive 'princess ball' and Jamelia is having a £200 designer party dress. They are every sleeping over at our home, and the next day they are going to bowling and the cinema then this really really posh restraunt! Its so unfair. Originally, she was going to have a limo to the cinema and then they went bowling then her friends slept over and went home the next day but my little sister said that that was "unhappy and pathetic" and she said to my mum and dad "what do you think i am, a dog? Your so thick! I need more adore. Thats a crap party" I am absolutely disguisted, i dont understand. This is a short story that I'm really focusing on right now. I would really appreciate any constructive criticism. She walked down the streets doing her best to ignore the stares directed her way. The only person she would go through this for was Jasmine. She had called an hour ago every upset because her latest boyfriend had run off with another guy. Pulling up the hood of her sweater she reached into her jeans pocket and pulled out her ipod. Asa put the earbuds in her ears and cranked up the volume doing her best to ignore everything around her as she walked to Jasmine's home. A commotion a block down drew her attention. A crowd of people were gathered in front of a fancy hotel and a limo was pulled up in front of it. Hating crowds but seeing there was no way to avoid it she started towards the crowd. Hoping to god that everyone would just ignore her and focus on whatever celebrity was getting out of the car. Waiting on the outskirts of the crowd Asa craned her neck to try to figure out a way out of and around the crowd. Luckily this seemed to be an unplanned event so there wasn't much in the way of security. She started to push her way through the crowd the people around her giving her dirty looks and a few even jabbing her in the ribs. Grimacing she focused on getting out of there, her mind repeating one thing 'receive out, receive out, receive out.' As she neared the middle of the crowd it suddenly shifted towards the limousine taking her with it. She frantically tried to resist the crowds tug but was rewarded by being knocked down. Hundreds of legs and feet battered her as she curled into a ball trying to protect herself. big hands startled her as she was suddenly lifted and thrown over a big muscular shoulder. The people around her screamed and pushed against the person's muscular body but the man seemed to have no trouble wading through the crowd. Finally reaching the limousine, the man opened the door, threw her in and scramble in himself, slamming the door behind him. Crawling away from the man, Asa sat on one of the seats opposite him and started to push her hair back into her hood every the while keeping her head lowered so as to hide her eyes. Hearing the click of the door being opened, Asa scrambled further into the limo as bodies suddenly crushed her as they hurried into the limo. Scrunching herself into the smallest ball she could Asa kept checking her hair was covered while still keeping her eyes lowered. Her music blaring loudly in the quieter car. She reached into the pocket of her sweater and turned off her ipod, pulling the ear buds from her ears as the limo started to move. A sudden question directed her way startled her. " Are you okay?" the owner of the voice had a cockiness and fakeness to it, that immediately made her go on the defencive. She had met only one person in her life with that amount of cockiness. "I wouldn't be him, right? God wouldn't be so cruel to her." Afraid to look up and confirm her worst nightmare. Asa let the silence stretch out. Finally mumbling a "I'm fine." When she feared the silence would prompt him to receive closer to her. She felt very nervous in the limousine, beads of sweat ran down the back of her neck and her foot involuntarily kept jiggling with her nerves. Her hand unconsciously kept her hood pulled as low over her head as possible, her eyes focused on her knees. The silence in the car wasdeafeningg, she really just wanted out. Mustering up the courage she mumbled, "Can you let me off at the next block?" "Sorry, I've got to go to location for aphoto-shoott and can't be tardy, beside I really think you should go to the hospital and receive checked over. The limo will steer you there after. "But I've got something VERY important to do." As the words left her mouth, her phone range, reaching into her backpack, Asa grabbed her phone and checked the ID. It was Jasmine again. Pressing the talk button Asa put the phone to her ear. "**** girl, where are you?" How can you leave your one and only true pal hanging in a crisis?" Holding the phone away from her ear, Asdesperatelyly tried to shush her noisy pal. every the eyes in the car were focused on her and it made her nervous. "Jase, I got to go now, I'll be there ASAP. K?"

This is the first chapter of my story: The Mark on my heart. I wish you like it! Please note, I texted this whole thing on my phone, no joke! LOL Chapter 1 It was a Monday morning-- School again. I got up from my bed and headed straight for the closet to pick out my outfit for today. I wore a pink mini skirt, a white tube top, white flip flops, and a pink cap. The skirt was way too short. The tube top was too tiny and tight that it showed my stomach. I scurried to my moms room. She was still snooze, thank God. If she saw me in this, she wouldn't let me wear it. You're probably wondering why I'm wearing bytchy clothes. Well, I am nice of a bytch-- some might say. In school I hang with the popular crowd. Not exactly 'hanged' with them, I was their leader. The head bytch. My name is Cindy and I'm an 11 grader at Champion High school. I rule the school and no one messes with this girl. 20 minutes later I was every cleaned up and ready to go. Then, my cell phone rang. The car pool must be here. I walked down stairs and looked out the window. I saw a Mercedes. The was my cue. I grabbed my purse/back pack and headed out the front door. I walked over to the Mercedes and sat in the back with 2 other girls. 'How you doin ladies?' I asked them. The 2 girls were like my side kicks, Megan and Lucy. Megan was a better pal to me than Lucy-- a better puppy I should say. 'I adore your outfit Cindy, You look hot!' Megan said to me. I looked at both their outfits and smiled. 'Thanks. You both look on point.' I said to them. 'Thanks. I was afriad you wouldn't like my shoes.' Lucy admitted. Her shoes looked alight. When the car drove into the steer way of Champion High school, I looked at Lucy and Megan. 'Let the games began,' I announced. And every 3 of us pulled out our mirrors and fixed our hair and made sure everything was set. 'Lets do this ladies.' I instructed and we every stepped out the Mercedes. In the school hall ways, Megan was texting on her cell phone. 'Cindy, New kid alert!' She told me. I grinned nefariously. There was a new student today and I'll be the one to greet him or her-- which isn't a good thing. Like I said, no one messed with me. I ruled this school. I ddn't even have to remember peoples names. I just pointed and said 'You' and they did whatever I asked them to do. 'When are they coming?' I asked her. 'A few minutes. He walks to school.' So it was a boy. I wonder what grade he's in-- not that it mattered. 'Hey Cindy!' A voiced greeted from behind me. I turned around and saw Lilly standing before me. 'Ewww! What the hell are you wearing?' I asked with a disgusted looked. She had on tan, why is she talking to me and tan. 'Oh, it's my new outfit!' She told me. 'This is a mockery! receive out of my face mut and find something better to wear next time you want to show your face at my school.' She nodded her head and walked away. 'Where's the new kid.' I asked Megan. 'He should be entering now,' She stated. I crossed my arms to my chest and waited impatiently. Then, I gasped. My mouth went wider than a stretch limo. This was no new kid. Well, he was new, but not new to me. It was DenMark. My childhood pal. DenMark and I use to be bestfriends when we were young-- about 10 or 11 years old. I couldn't believe he was here. We haven't seen each other in years and he moved to Chicago. Why is he in California. 'DenMark?' I shouted and he turned to me. His expression was similar to mine-- SHOCKED. 'Cindy?' He questioned. I couldn't believe what he was wearing. He looked like a nerd. 'You know him?' Magan asked. 'Yeah... but, he's a loser,' I said. There was no way I was being nice to a NERD. A nerd. What had happened to him? When I said that, He looked puzzled. 'Did you just call me a loser?' He asked. 'Yes, I'm talking to DeMark Howards,' I said. 'Okay, Call me Mark...' I forgot DeMark, I mean, Mark hated people calling him by his first name. I was the only one to call him DenMark when we were young. So why can't I still call him that? I hated being mean to him. He was my bestfriend. 'Why don't you go some where you wierdo.' Megan snapped. Mark walked up to me and sighed. 'What are you wearing?' He inquired looking preplexed. I put one hand on my hip and sighed. 'Clothes. And what are you wearing, the dumpster?' I barked. He narrowed his eyes. 'Who are you?' 'Cindy kick azz Johnson. Now beat it mut!' I said angrily and walked away with Megan by myside. I hate my self for doing that to Mark. He was a good person and my best, best, best pal not too long ago. When I was young, I was nice of a nerd. Resolved Question: Will I get car sick in this situation?

Hey everyone- this question is EXTREMELY important to me. So this Saturday evening will be my high school prom, and a group of friends and I have rented an escalade stretch limo. Now I receive car sick pretty easily, so I have been having horrible anxiety about the whole thing. Has anyone ever been in an escalade limo? Do you think it likely that I'll receive car sick on the ride? The ride is about THIRTY minutes long (about ten minutes road roads, twenty minutes freeway). I am also EXTREMELY worried about getting claustrophobic since we're TWENTY people in one limo!! The thing is that I'm also going to be wearing my suit every buttoned up to the neck with my CHOKING TIE so I'm sure that's gonna make it every worse :S So what do you guys think? The chief bridesmaid has organised a stretch limo to the city and free/reduced night club entry. The journey is a round trip of abt £150 miles and she's asked everyone including the bride to pay £30 each for the car, champagne, sashes etc. One of the bridesmaid's started moaning saying that the bride should pay it every. I thought traditionally the hens paid for the bride? It seems a very modest cost to me especially as the bride has bought every the bridesmaid dresses, tiaras etc and is allowing them to keep it every if they want. What do you think?

Right now, it's just 6 people on board for a limo rent, but we're thinking about getting more people, perhaps 4 more so it's a total of 10 people to split the costs. My pal had proposed the idea of renting a limo so she's doing the bulk of the research, but she asked me to do some research on the side to make sure she's looking at the best limo rates. So here's a few questions: - What type of limo is best for prom (i.e stretch, hummer, etc.)? - What is usually the best limo rate (like $60/hr. or something)? - Does the total expense such as something like a quote of $365 is the total amount for a number of hours and is meant to be split among the prom-goers (Sorry if this one is a dumb question)?

Resolved Question: Wedding Limo Broke Down - Should I Ask for Money Back?

Hi, I live in NYC. A few months ago I booked a 1963 Rolls Royce to take me home from the wedding with my husband. It was an incredible deal - $230 to pick us up at the reception and take us home (we already live together). The company called at the last minute and said the antique car broke down and sent a white stretch limo instead. The guy said he would make a price adjustment (a stretch limo is cheaper than a Rolls) but never did. Should I call and complain? Or should I let it go? Is $230 a decent price for a limo anyway? I can't help but wonder if it was a bait-and-switch (i.e., they never had any intention of giving us an antique car) for that price. Thanks, J

I'm writing an essay for this poem: 1 rose red from across the tracks does 2 grow up to be a knockout. bold with big legs 3 and every the relax of the equipment necessary 4 to excite a prince 5 and if she plays her pumpkins right (she will) 6 she'll become snow white will acquire 7 every the material things wished upon 8 the big fine castle. servants of a darker race 9 the stretch limo. jewels and furs 10 champagne for a frivolous breakfast of 11 scrambled eggs and caviar 12 a smart dame from across the tracks, rose 13 has an instinct for opportunity---the savvy it 14 takes to receive over. she knows she's got to score 15 before she's knocked up, starts to pudge out, or 16 otherwise loses her looks 17 this may require compromise---dyeing her hair 18 henna or ash, special hormones or cosmetic surgeries 19 and pretending a certain amount of ignorance 20 about the workings of fairytales 21 there will be critical moments when one word from 22 rose would change the story's plot. but she knows 23 her role and will hold her tongue. history 24 is the thorny realm of wealthy powerful princes 25 in the meantime rose can play games with trolls and 26 witches. her prince will tolerate it as long as 27 she doesn't cross him. as long as her game 28 doesn't interfere with his 29 and if she wants she can even make a sport of 30 equal height between normals & dwarfs. he will 31 understand. she needs to do something for 32 amusement---as long as the dwarfs 33 remain dwarfs 34 he will even allow her a wolf or two 35 thus our gal rose needn't concern herself 36 with the eternal snooze threatening the kingdom 37 she is assured resurrection by the local 38 sorcerer who offers glad endings 39 at a discount I have to discuss the treatment of sex and politics in "fairyland" and illustrate how sex and politics relate to each other in general. I have a few preliminary ideas (1. gender itself is political, 2. "fairyland"s politics discredit women, 3. unraveling the great myth that every fairytales have a glad ending), but I would appreciate if I could gather more interpretations of the poem and how others view its relevance to sex and politics. Hiya! My birthday is coming up soon, and I'm going to have a fun par-tay. I want to take me and my friends to the city, in a limo, and it's going to steer us around to a few places, then dinner, then back to my home. My parents are going to be paying for it, so it has to be somewhat affordable. Now, since it's my 13th birthday, they'll pay for it, but it has to be around the $350-$410 range, including tip and tax (if there is any). I live in north NJ, (Bergen County), so whether or not there's a sales tax, i don't know. Also, we'd be going on a weekday, because I noticed a few places that had specials for weekdays. I found two limos that I like, Chrysler 300 and Lincoln 8 passenger stretch, so help me receive a good limo service!

For my birthday party, i really want to take a hummer limo downtown and eat, and then be taken to a nearby hotel to stay the night. but, i've seen these big party buses. They look really chilly, but what's the point of them? Like do you just steer around and party? Or are you supposed to take them somewhere? Resolved Question: What model Benz was Sir Mix-A-Lot's limo from the late '80s?

Watch his classic 'Posse on Broadway' to look what I mean. I read an article in a music magazine in the early '90s where they had him talking about his cars and he mentioned this limo, which from the looks of it is a stretched W126 S-Class but he referred to it as the 10,000 AMG as if it was a production aftermarket model, AMG not yet being an official part of Mercedes-Benz at the time. I am sure he doesn't have the only W126 based limo, so who made these and how many were created? He said the limo's model name was the 10,000 AMG, my guess is its due to the lengthened wheelbase.

Resolved Question: How much would it cost to rent a limo?

I need to rent a limo to take me from Connecticut to Boston, so about a 2 hour steer, one way. I would be renting a sedan type limo, this is not a special occasion so there is no need for a stretch/fancy limo, I just need to receive to Boston. So it would be 1 Passanger. How much do you think that would cost me? Also, is there any better ways to receive to boston in terms of renting a vehicle? I have a lot of luggage with me so that's why i need a single car. Resolved Question: Antique or Classic Limo Rental for Milwaukee. PLEASE HELP!?

Okay, so I'm going to Prom and I REALLY want to rent a limo. I want something different but beautiful. I've been really looking into an antique or classic limo, but I can't seem to find any in Milwaukee or surrounding areas. I don't want the typical stretch, Hummer, Escalade, or SUV limo.
